Kunar Shirt - Handwoven Cotton - Indigo

A comfortable shirt with a relaxed shape and lovely details throughout. Fine pintucks add texture to the front, while the gathered waist creates gentle fullness through the body. Long sleeves finish with softly gathered cuffs, and the simple button front makes it easy to wear. 

Sewn from exquisite artisan cloth; thread dyed with natural dyes and handwoven by village artisans in India. By dyeing the threads before weaving, there is an added depth and variance to the colour that celebrates the handcraft of the dyers and weavers who created it.  Lightweight and soft, the cotton feels gentle against the skin and will continue to soften with wear. Thoughtfully made in small batches, this textile celebrates the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.

A note on fit:

• Fits narrow across the shoulders
• Flowing through the waist and hips

Small/Medium: Fits up to 42" at the chest / length 30" at front / 32" at back/ 24" sleeve length. (approx. size 6-12) 

Medium/Large: Fits up to 46" at the chest / length 31" at front / 34" at back/ 25" sleeve length. (approx. size 12-16) 

Model: Sophia is 5’11” bust: 36”, waist: 28”, hip: 40” wearing a size small/ medium 

Note: Indigo is a friendly dye and likes to share its colour. You can expect some colour to rub off on your skin or other clothing for the first part of this garments life.

Care Instructions: Your garment can be gently machined or hand washed with cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours. Immediately hang to dry.

Some natural dyes are sensitive to citrus.

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7

- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
