Asha Dress - Handwoven Cotton - Indigofera

The Asha Dress is a new mid-length full dress in indigo, with an extraordinary two-tone indigo selvedge detail running along the hem. This dress was born from the desire to hold glamour within the language of hand-weave. Made from 100% handwoven cotton and thread dyed with natural indigo, it has a beautiful drape and flow, with lots of room to dance, run and twirl in.
A beautifully textured handwoven dress from master weavers in the Kachchh desert of India. This group has not only retained traditional natural dye techniques, they have expanded the palette and refined dyeing methods to gain fast, true colours. A century ago this high-quality weaving was only done for the local prestige market. Today Bhujodi weaving is recognized worldwide for its skill and beauty.

One Size: chest 43"/sleeve length 19" top of shoulder/ length 48" from shoulder to hem (approx. size 6-16)

Note: Indigo is a friendly dye and likes to share its colour. You can expect some colour to rub off on your skin or other clothing for the first part of this garments life.
Care Instructions: Hand wash only in cool water. To protect the natural fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess moisture and hang to dry.
Some natural dyes are sensitive to citrus.
Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7
- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
