Ahir embroidery is often bold featuring motifs of geometric shapes, floral patterns, animals and birds.  Their style predominantly has an outline called Sankdi around the mirrors with filling stitches called Vano. Characteristically, Ahir embroidery has round mirrors.

These embroideries bring the richness of desert cultures into your hands — heirlooms for the future. Each embroidery is a unique expression of the woman who made it. No two are the same.

Features: Traditional hand embroidery on a linen clutch which folds in half, encasing the whole piece in beautiful embroidery. Featuring a zipper closure and inner zip pocket.

The language of stitches builds within a community over hundreds of years. It is a source of identity that is transferred from one generation to the next.
