Mahout Shirt - Handwoven Cotton - Ikat Rainfall

A classic men's pullover shirt with a Nehru collar, 4 button placket and full length sleeves. Front pocket and side slit details complete the look. 

Sewn from exquisite ikat artisan cloth; naturally dyed & handwoven by village artisans in Bengal, India. Ikat cloth is made using a highly technical method to create pattern using resist-dyed threads. Once dyed, the threads are masterfully kept in order and woven, revealing the dyed pattern across the cloth.

A Note on Fit:

• The style of this shirt is best worn a little bit looser
• Relaxed shoulder seams

Small: Chest up to 46” / length 29” from shoulder seam to hem. Sleeve length 26".

Medium: Chest up to 48” / length 30” from shoulder seam to hem. Sleeve length 26".

Large: Chest up to 52” / length 31” from shoulder seam to hem. Sleeve length 26.5".

Model: Alex is 5' 8" chest: 41", waist: 34" wearing a size small.

Care Instructions: Your garment can be gently machined or hand washed with cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours. Immediately hang to dry. 

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7

- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
