Quilted Pouch - Kantha Cotton - Blue Bayou

A very useful pouch made from a one of a kind, vintage kantha quilt! This unique piece makes a great organizer for small projects, art supplies, and keeper of special items.

Kantha quilts are made for household use in rural parts of Bengal and Bangladesh. Favourite prints, saris, and beloved lengths of cloth are stitched together with plain and coloured threads. Every quilter has her own individual style, and we love the history and stories each one holds.

Fibre: 100% cotton - made from a medium weight kantha quilt. 

Size is approx: 7" x 9"

Features: Double-sided pouch, zipper closure along top, with an inner pouch pocket.

Care Instructions: Your textile can be gently machined or hand washed with cool water. To protect the fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours. Immediately hang to dry or tumble dry on medium heat. 

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7
