This piece features contemporary wood blocks specially cut to imitate distressed painterly techniques, combined with the more familiar play of repeat geometric forms. 100% handwoven silk cloth, in combination with natural dyes, glows with an incredible vibrancy and has elegant drape.

Over the centuries, communities of block printers have often migrated. When they do, their designs and ways of working change and evolve. This is certainly true of the Mumbai block printers. Originally dyers from Kachchh, Gujarat, they have taken the art of hand block printing in a completely new direction. Still working with natural dyes and traditional processes, they only work in contemporary designs they themselves create.

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Immediately hang to dry.

Some natural dyes are sensitive to citrus.  

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7

- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
