Calico Dress - Organic Cotton - Alhambra
This free spirited design is a tiered pattern with ultimate flow. The perfect everyday dress, farmers market frock and comfortable lounge around outfit, which also easily dresses up for a special night out! Feels so good on the body - with lots of room to dance, run and twirl in. There are two pockets at the sides for keeping the necessities close.
Part of the beauty of Ajrakh cloth lies in the fact that each block is placed by the artisan’s hand - what is left behind is an imprint of the personality and character of the block printer. Slight variegations are to be celebrated.

- 100% organic cotton - light to medium weight.
- Hand block printed and dyed with natural indigo.
- A-line, tiered cut pattern.
- Side slit pockets.
- French seams.
- Sewn at the Maiwa Studio in India.
A Note on Fit:
- Flowing, generous fit in body
Small: Bust up to 38” / shoulders 16.25” across the back / length 44” from shoulder seam to hem.
Medium: Bust up to 40” / shoulders 16.5” across the back / length 45” from shoulder seam to hem.
Large: Bust up to 43” / shoulders 17.5” across the back / length 46” from shoulder seam to hem.
Model: Sacha is 5' 11" bust: 33", waist: 29", hip: 39" wearing a size medium.
Care Instructions: Your fabric can be gently machine or hand washed with cool water. To protect the natural dyes you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours. Immediately hang to dry or tumble dry on medium heat.
Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7
- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
Note: Indigo is a friendly dye and likes to share its colour. You can expect a small amount colour to rub off on your skin or other clothing for the first part of this garments life.
