A beautiful handwoven shawl with so many lovely textural details. Woven with thread-dyed indigo cotton and rich madder dyed wild silk. The plaid pattern is woven with lustrous tussar silk which catches the light as it moves.

Naturally dyed & handwoven by village artisans in Bengal. By dyeing the cotton threads before weaving, the warp and weft combine to create a rich colour with a unique depth and shade. This cloth celebrates the handcraft and skill of the dyers and weavers who created it.

Handweaves are so much more than simply beautiful cloth - they represent the idea of cultural self-sufficiency with deep roots in the Indian identity.
