Bengal Thread - Silk - Natural Dye Marigold

This hand spun yarn has been richly coloured with traditional natural dyes. The recipes have been developed by Maiwa in collaboration with master weavers in Bengal, India. 

Bengal weavers are historically famous for using the finest threads possible in their work. Maiwa works alongside village artisans to encourage longevity of skills. We collaborate to develop special cloth for our clothing and textile lines.

• Naturally dyed with marigold - mordanted with alum
• 100% Matka single ply, handspun
• Approx. 15g

Please note this yarn is deeply discounted as it has not been through a thorough wash. You may find some natural dye sediment present.

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabrics you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and hang to dry.
