The best of handweaves! The Sundar Jacket is a statement piece featuring a mix of exquisite handwoven cloth. Beautifully constructed with a lightweight, flowing neck accented with supplementary weft design called Jamdani, on a handspun kala cotton body with natural cotton fleck.
Jamdani is a traditional method of creating pattern using a supplementary weft.
Kala cotton is indigenous to Kachchh. It is organic - as the farmers do not use any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. It is a purely rain fed crop that has a high tolerance for both disease and pests, and requires minimal investment. It is resilient and resurgent in the face of difficult land conditions.
