Shimoga Shirt - Handspun & Handwoven Cotton - Indigo Light & Dark

The perfect oversized shirt. The versatility of wearing it open or closed makes it a great layering piece and a Maiwa favourite. The Shimoga Shirt stays true to what we believe about timeless sustainable design; it's easily worn year round.

Made with gorgeous artisan cloth - handspun, thread-dyed with natural dyes & handwoven by master weavers in the Kachchh desert of India.

Woven with Kala cotton, a variety indigenous to Kachchh. It is organic - as the farmers do not use any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. It is a purely rain fed crop that has a high tolerance for both disease and pests, and requires minimal investment. It is resilient and resurgent in the face of difficult land conditions.

A Note on Fit:

• Generous fit.

One size: 64" around the body / 34" length from shoulder to hem.

Model: Sacha is 5' 11" bust: 33", waist: 29", hip: 39".

Note: Indigo is a friendly dye and likes to share its colour. You can expect some colour to rub off on your skin or other clothing for the first part of this garments life. 

Care Instructions: Your garment can be gently machined or hand washed with cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours. Immediately hang to dry.

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7

- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
