Bandhani - Wool Scarf - Spiral


A fine handwoven scarf from master weavers in the Kachchh desert of India. It is patterned with the distinctive tied resist method known as bandhani. Artisans pinch a small portion of cloth and then tightly hand tie the peak with thread. The tight threads resist the dye when the piece is immersed in a dyebath.

Process:  Handwoven and hand tied by master bandhani artisans in Kachchh, India.

Size is approx. 24" x 82"

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. To protect the natural fabric we recommend using a pH neutral liquid detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and hang to dry. 

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7
