Linen Dabu Scarf - Indigo Dot

$69.95

Dabu is a blockprinting technique where artisans use the fine desert sands of Jaipur and surrounding villages in Rajasthan to create a mud resist. The mud must be the right consistency to be applied with a wooden block, taken up by the fabric, and remain intact through an immersion dyebath to resist the natural dyes. The end result is a unique and intricate pattern.

This loose weave linen scarf is beautifully light and with a bounce in its drape.

Fibre: 100% linen

Process: Blockprinted by hand and dyed with natural indigo by artisans in India.

Size is approx: 58 x 193cm / 23 x 76”

Note: Indigo is a friendly dye and likes to share its colour. You can expect some colour to rub off on your skin or other clothing for the first part of this garments life. Wash separately with cool water and a mild, neutral pH soap.
