This oversized shawl features the techniques of both Khadi & Jamdani. First the cotton is handspun into yarn, then as the shawl is being handwoven the artisan uses the the supplementary weft thread to create the polkadot design, known as Jamdani.
Soft and unique, this is a perfect wrap for meditating, hitting the beach or worn around town.
Khadi is a type of cloth made entirely by hand, no power looms or industrial machinery is used. But khadi is so much more than simply a beautiful handmade cloth. It is an idea of cultural cultural self-sufficiency with deep roots in the Indian identity.
