Bhujodi - Wild Silk & Wool Shawl - Spring Air


A special beauty. The woven weft design in the borders of this shawl glow with the natural colours of handspun Wild Tussar silk. A perfect combination of wool and silk to keep you cozy and warm on a crisp spring morning. The design is traditional to the weavers of Bhujodi - the pattern is picked up, thread by thread, on the loom. Finished with tassels along the edges hand tied with silk and naturally dyed wool.

Process: Handspun (silk threads), naturally dyed (tassels) and handwoven by master craftspeople in Kachchh, India.

Size is approx. 24" x 78" (61cm x 198cm)

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabrics you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and hang to dry. 

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7.
