Our Linen Honest Yarn shows the raw beauty of Belgian flax, spun in Bengal. It offers a wonderful buttery hand and the exceptional weight and presence that only linen can give. This line is also being offered in special wholesale lots.

Linen is one of the more challenging fibres to dye naturally, especially to dye well. But we feel we've nailed it. Beautiful rich jewel-like tones that are both deep and even. Lighter colours that are consistent, level, and delicate without being weak. Colours that are as satisfying to work with as the act of creating.

Fibre Type: 100% Linen

Colour: Silver Sage (Pomegranate / Kasheem Light) Lot No. L112. 

*Kasheem is iron water using a traditional recipe of fermenting scrap iron, date palm sugar and chickpea flour. It reacts with tannins to create greys & blacks. 

Washing Instructions: Hand wash with cool water and neutral eco-friendly soap.

Lace 33 / 4 ply — Weight / Length: Approx. 100g / 498 m (545 yd) Needle Size: 1.5mm - 2.25mm (US 000-1) Gauge: 36 sts / 4” on 2.0mm (US 0) — Great for fine knitting and crochet: summer shawls, lace projects, open work, and fine warm weather garments.

Fingering 25 / 4 ply —  Weight / Length: Approx. 100g / 377m (412yd) Needle Size: 2.75mm - 3.5mm (US 2-4) Gauge: 30 sts / 4” on 3.25mm (US 3) — Great for fine knitting and crochet.

Sport 16 / 4 ply — Weight / Length: Approx. 100g / 241m (264yd) Needle Size: 3.25mm - 3.75mm (US 3-5) Gauge: 24 sts / 4” on 3.5mm (US 4) — A heavier weight. Project suggestions include a market bag, draped summer sweaters, spring top, woven dish towels.
