A classic Maiwa Coat made with beautiful heavyweight handwoven cotton. It works well layered over anything in your wardrobe.  Hand carved horn buttons down the front. Square neckline and patch pockets in the front.

Made with gorgeous artisan cloth - handspun, thread-dyed with natural dyes & handwoven by village artisans in Bengal.

A Note on Fit:

  • Easy fit.
  • This garment comes in one size.

    One size: measures 60” around the body / length 34" from shoulder to hem.

    Model: Sonia is 5’6” bust: 34”, waist: 30”, hip: 38”.

     

     Note: Indigo is a friendly dye and likes to share its colour. You can expect some colour to rub off on your skin or other clothing for the first part of this garments life. 

    Care Instructions: Your fabric can be gently machine or hand washed with cool water. To protect the natural dyes you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours.  Immediately hang to dry or tumble dry on medium heat. 

    Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7

    - Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
