A stunning handwoven wool and silk shawl made by master weavers in the Kachchh Desert of India. This shawl is more than meets the eye, with fine local deshi wool, subtle strands of eri silk, and golden tussah silk lending an elegant warm finish to the cloth.  With supplemental weft designs at the border and some gorgeous light indigo dyed thread accents. 

This local shepherd's wool is handspun. It has incredible body and drape with a rougher texture and hand - not recommended for sensitive skin.

 

Fibre: Deshi wool, eri silk, and tussah silk.

Process:  Naturally dyed, handspun and handwoven by master craftspeople in Kachchh, India.

Size is approx. 33"x 82"


Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and hang to dry. 

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7
