This gorgeous shawl is the work of the Bhujodi weaving community from India's Kachchh Desert. This group has not only retained traditional natural dye techniques, they have expanded the palette and refined dyeing methods to gain fast, true colours. A century ago this high-quality weaving was only done for the local prestige market. Today Bhujodi weaving is recognized worldwide for its skill and beauty. 

This shawl is woven from naturally dyed fine count cotton. Supplemental weft patterning defines the borders, resulting in a rich and beautiful cloth. 

Fibre: 100% Cotton.

Process:  Naturally dyed and handwoven by master craftspeople in Kachchh, India.

Size is approx. 40" x 92" (102cm x 234cm)

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cool water. To protect the natural dyes and natural fabrics you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and hang to dry. 

Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7.
